Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, free date and passenger changes.

24-hour free cancellation

Tours can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before departure. Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are non-refundable. The cutoff is based on the local Reykjavík departure time stated on your voucher.

How to cancel

The fastest way to cancel is to contact our team. You can manage cancellations and changes via our manage-booking page, by email at info@sternatravel.com, or by phone on +354 480-1200. Have your booking reference (e.g. STR-12345) ready — it's in your confirmation email.

If Sterna cancels the tour

If we cancel a tour due to weather, road conditions, or operational reasons, you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule onto another date or comparable tour at no extra cost. There is never a fee when Sterna cancels.

Date changes

Date changes are free up to 24 hours before departure, subject to availability on the new date. If the new tour costs more, you only pay the difference; if it costs less, the difference is refunded.

Passenger and name changes

Name and passenger changes are free at any time before departure, including same-day. Just send us the corrected names and we'll reissue your voucher.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer. We'll send you a refund confirmation email as soon as it's processed on our side.
